Referrals

Dr Sardelic is a specialist general surgeon, and you will always need a valid referral in order to claim your rebate from Medicare. Referrals should always be sent directly to the practice in advance of the appointment. Referrals can be faxed / emailed / sent via Medical Objects. Referrals for new patients are always assessed for the degree of urgency, and patients with urgent problems are seen as promptly as possible. As a result, waiting times for appointments for non- urgent problems can be quite long.

If circumstances prevent you from keeping your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. This allows us to use the appointment for other patients.
